Aidan Black
Clinical Mental Health Counseling & Art Therapy
Aidan works with adolescents, teens, young adults, and adults, offering a warm, creative, and affirming space for clients to better understand themselves and their experiences. They are passionate about helping clients explore identity, emotions, relationships, life transitions, and the many parts of themselves that may feel complex, messy, or hard to put into words.
Aidan’s approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming, and rooted in deep respect for each client’s lived experience. They understand that healing is shaped not only by what happens inside of us, but also by our relationships, families, communities, cultures, and the larger systems we move through.
Creativity is central to Aidan’s work. Sessions may include art-making, storytelling, mindfulness, symbolic reflection, or other creative practices that support emotional expression, self-discovery, and regulation. Clients do not need any artistic experience or skill to participate in art therapy. Aidan believes creative expression can be a powerful way for children, teens, and adults to process what feels difficult to say out loud.
Aidan draws from Art Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Feminist and Intersectional Therapy, Existential Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. They work alongside clients to identify goals, build insight, practice new tools, and discover what feels supportive and meaningful in the therapy process.
Aidan is committed to creating a space where clients feel seen, respected, and supported as they navigate the complexity of being human.
