Modern Youth was born from my deep love for children—and from my own experience growing up as a sensitive, observant kid. I always noticed more than people realized: the tension in the room, the unsaid feelings, the stories behind people’s eyes. Like so many kids, I carried things I didn’t know how to name. And like so many kids today, I made meaning out of what I saw—sometimes in ways that weren’t true or helpful.
Today’s youth are growing up in a world full of noise, pressure, and rapid change. They're navigating anxiety, identity exploration, school and social stress, sensory overload, and the constant stream of digital input. Many are forming core beliefs about themselves before they’ve had the chance to develop the tools or support to question them.
At Modern Youth, we exist to interrupt that process—to give kids and teens a space where they can explore who they are, learn to regulate their emotions, and build a more compassionate understanding of themselves. We believe that therapy can be both structured and playful, grounded and creative. We use evidence-based practices like CBT, DBT, play therapy, and family systems work, paired with experiential methods that help kids and their caregivers connect more deeply and grow together.
This work isn’t just about treating symptoms—it’s about helping young people feel seen, safe, and supported as they grow into who they’re meant to be.
