About Mishi (She/Her)

Mishi Soto is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate who provides telehealth therapy for teens, young adults, parents, couples, and families. She brings warmth, curiosity, and a deep respect for each client’s unique story, creating a space where people can feel understood, supported, and free from judgment.

As a first-generation American raised between two cultures, with a mother who immigrated from South Korea and a father from Germany, Mishi grew up navigating different worldviews, values, and ways of relating. This background shaped her appreciation for the many ways people experience emotions, relationships, identity, and belonging. In her work, she honors each client’s lived experience and helps them make sense of their story in a way that feels authentic and meaningful.

Before becoming a therapist, Mishi worked in healthcare as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist. In that role, she saw the powerful connection between emotional and physical health, including how stress, grief, and trauma can impact the body. These experiences helped shape her holistic approach to therapy and her belief that healing involves the mind, body, relationships, culture, and environment.

Mishi supports clients navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, family stress, life transitions, identity development, and emotional overwhelm. She works especially well with teens and young adults who are trying to better understand themselves, parents who are wanting to strengthen connection with their children, and couples or families who are working through patterns of disconnection or conflict.

Her approach is compassionate, collaborative, and whole-person centered. She draws from evidence-based and relational approaches, including Emotionally Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Interventions, Narrative Therapy, Somatic Therapy, and holistic practices. Mishi helps clients slow down, reconnect with themselves, strengthen relationships, and move toward healing, self-understanding, and growth.
